Crosscut Primary Bath

This thoughtfully updated primary bathroom from the 1960s pays homage to its historic Mid-Century Modern (MCM) roots. Once in need of revitalization, the space was cramped and underutilized, particularly a small storage nook located between the bedroom and the bathroom. By leveraging both the nook and the existing bath, we successfully created a significantly larger bathroom that features a spacious wet shower area.

To enhance the custom experience, stacked tile was expertly installed to eliminate awkward cuts in the corners and niches. A repurposed MCM dresser serves as a vanity, adding warmth and character to the space. Additionally, the original tub was carefully salvaged and positioned atop a custom-tiled step, ensuring its integrity within the new wet bath area for years to come.
